Meet the incredible team behind Paradox Coffee Roasters

Yogesh is our head roaster at Paradox Coffee Roasters. The role is critical for Paradox, overseeing all of our green coffee sourcing and our roasting team. When he's not busy cupping samples in the lab or talking with one of our coffee farming partners around the world, Yogesh readily engages with our team, sharing insights into the complexities of coffee. We're fortunate to have Yogesh contribute his passion and expertise to Paradox!

Where are you from?

Kathmandu, Nepal.

How did you get started in the coffee industry?

I was a café all-rounder when I was an international student.

What do you love about coffee?

I fell in love with coffee and became a barista. I love the flavours of coffee. It's amazing to start a day enjoying so many different flavours. I always wake up looking forward to tasting my coffee, curious about how the coffee is, how I roasted it, if I captured what that particular coffee offers, and whether I can get more out of it in the roast or brew.

Favourite coffee right now?

My favourite coffee at the moment is Penny Lane, a caramel-driven cup with a hint of chocolate, nuts, and fruity aromas, along with an amazing blueberry finish. It's one of my favourites of my entire career, as it's so complex, unique, and pleasing.

Fun fact?

Not exactly a fun fact, but a fact nonetheless — I love playing soccer on my days off!
