Tash, our Assistant Café Manager at Paradox Coffee Roasters on the Gold Coast, brings a wealth of knowledge and a love for coffee and hospitality. Where are you from?

I grew up in Tweed Heads and have always soaked in the vibes of the southern end of the Gold Coast—it’s my happy place.

How did you get started in the coffee/café industry?

I jumped into the hospitality scene at 16 and I’ve been riding that wave ever since, always eager for the next adventure.

What’s your favourite coffee right now?

Right now, I’m all about exploring pour-over coffee, but you can’t beat my classic small double-shot flat white.

What’s your go-to item on our menu?

Smashed avocado is my go-to breakfast; it’s just got that perfect blend of flavours that keeps me coming back for more.

How do you start your day in the café?

I kick off my mornings with a quick setup, smash a coffee once we’re dialled in, and then pick some tunes to set a killer vibe for the day.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I hold an HR license and used to drive trucks in the mines—definitely some stories to tell there!

What’s your favourite thing about our café?

I love the passion everyone brings to the table; it’s inspiring to work in a place where we serve up top-notch food and tasty brews to our customers.
