Karen is our QLD Training Manager at Paradox Coffee Roasters! With her extensive experience in specialty coffee, she's your go to guru for all things coffee-related. You'll always find a friendly, welcoming smile and next-level service from Karen. Get to know Karen below with our quick questions series.

Where are you from?

I’m from the UK originally and moved to Australia in 2010.

How did you get started in the coffee industry?

Fell in love with the Melbourne coffee scene and started my own espresso bar in 2013.

What do you love about coffee ? 

How diverse it can be, and how much it teaches us about the world. But on a daily basis, I love how coffee connects people, whether it’s a roaster to the farmer or a barista to a customer our lives are enriched by coffee.

Favourite coffee right now?

Our limited release Panama geisha, it is a true classic, soft, sweet, floral and citrus.

Fun fact?

I’m signed up to do the Gold Coast half marathon July 2024 or I’m a keen scuba diver. Fav dive spot Stradebroke Island, I could talk all day about nudibranchs.
