Colombia has given the coffee world so much.

Every cup of Colombian coffee has farmers, families and communities behind it, growing, harvesting and producing coffees that reach people all over the world.

At Paradox Coffee Roasters, we are For The People. For us, that starts with recognising that coffee is about more than what ends up in the cup. It's about the people and communities behind it.

After the devastating earthquake in Colombia, communities are now facing the hard work of recovering and rebuilding. Homes and essential infrastructure have been damaged, and families need access to everyday supplies and support.

Together with our coffee partners at Cofinet, we can help.

Coming Together for Colombia

Our partners at Cofinet, together with RPM Freight & Logistics, are organising a humanitarian aid container to deliver essential supplies to communities affected by the earthquake.

We're calling on the wider Paradox community to get behind them.

Whether you're one of our cafe customers, order Paradox coffee online, work with us as a wholesale partner or simply share our connection to coffee and the people behind it, every contribution can help.

We're accepting donations at Paradox Coffee Roasters Cafe Broadbeach on the Gold Coast and the Paradox Coffee Roasters Sydney Roastery in Seven Hills.

What Can You Donate?

We're collecting practical supplies that can help families through the immediate aftermath and recovery.

Non-Perishable Food & Basic Needs

Donations can include drinking water, rice, pasta, lentils, beans, canned food, long-life milk, cereals, protein bars, baby food and other non-perishable packaged foods.

Shelter & Essential Living Supplies

Tents, sleeping mats, sleeping bags, blankets, tarps, portable lights and torches, batteries, camping equipment, reusable water bottles and basic household essentials are all welcome.

Tools & Recovery Equipment

Once rebuilding starts, having the right equipment on hand matters just as much. Donations can include shovels, hammers, crowbars, axes, work gloves, rope, buckets, basic hand tools and construction or repair equipment.

Baby, Hygiene & Health Essentials

We're also collecting nappies, baby wipes, baby formula, baby hygiene products, sanitary products, personal hygiene products and first-aid supplies.

Have something to contribute? Bring your donation to our Broadbeach cafe or Sydney roastery before the relevant collection cut-off.

From Coffee Origin to Community

Coffee connects people across enormous distances.

The journey from a coffee farm in Colombia to a cup served in Broadbeach, Sydney or somewhere else across Australia depends on an entire network of growers, producers, importers, roasters, baristas and coffee drinkers.

Our relationships with coffee-producing communities are part of that bigger picture.

Colombia’s coffee, culture and community have given us so much over the years. When communities connected to the coffee we love need support, we believe it's important to come together wherever we can.

This collection is one practical way for the Paradox community to do that.

How You Can Help

Choose any of the essential supplies listed above and bring your donation to Paradox Coffee Roasters Cafe Broadbeach by Sunday 13 September or our Sydney roastery by Tuesday 15 September.

Every donation contributes to the humanitarian aid being organised by Cofinet and RPM Freight & Logistics for affected communities in Colombia.

Thank you to everyone in the Paradox community who gets involved.

For The People. For Colombia.
