What’s your name and where do you work?

What inspired you to become a barista?

I’ve always worked in restaurants where you learn some pretty basic coffee skills. When I was living in Dubai, I was helping a friend open a café, and there was a bit of a struggle to bring in experienced baristas. So I kind of got thrown in at the deep end and really enjoyed it!

How do you start your day before a shift?

With a strong 3/4 latte.

What’s your go-to coffee order?

Strong 3/4 latte in the morning and batch brew after breakfast when available.

What’s your favourite part of working at the café?

Being in Centennial Park, you always get a wide array of people and situations, so there’s never a dull moment.

Can you share a memorable interaction you’ve had with a customer?

There’s been many! We’re very lucky to have a loyal customer base, and since I’ve worked at The Greenhouse for so many years, it’s really fascinating watching customers' families grow and watching the kids grow up.

How do you perfect your latte art? Any tips?

Practice, practice, practice. (YouTube videos help too!)

What’s your favourite blend or origin, and why?

Lately, I’ve been experimenting with anaerobic fermented coffees. No real specific origins, more so just trying anything new and different.
