Meet Myles from The Mailman, our Barista of the Month for August!

Myles is the owner of The Mailman and brings his passion for coffee, hospitality and connecting with customers into the café every day.

What’s your name and where do you work?
Myles from The Mailman.

What inspired you to become a barista?
I got forced into coffee with owning the business but fortunately I love coffee and the amazing people i get to meet.

How do you start your day before a shift?
Flat white, number 2 and a batchie.

What’s your go-to coffee order?
Flat white and a batchie.

What’s your favourite part of working at the café?
The amazing regulars and banter with staff.

Can you share a memorable interaction you’ve had with a customer?
A memorable but not so enjoyable interaction was a lady throw a dozen eggs at me haha.

How do you perfect your latte art? Any tips?
Bulk instagram reels. Tip: always take a breath and zone out the craziness of the cafe.

What’s your favourite Paradox blend or origin, and why?
Strawberry brownie/ that is pure joy in a cup.

What’s a fun fact most people don’t know about you?
I am a chef by trade and a father of two young children.
