Meet Chloe from Much Love, our Barista of the Month for February 2026! Chloe is a barista at Much Love who brightens every customer’s day with her warmth, creativity, and love for coffee.

What’s your name and where do you work?
My name is Chloe, and you’ll find me at Much Love in Fortitude Valley.

What inspired you to become a barista?
I love making people’s days better. My job is full of joy, connection, and great chats. I often use the job title “human energy supplier” over barista it’s a better fit, lol.

How do you start your day before a shift?
Honestly… getting up in the morning is hard, especially for early starts. I’ve found that a simple, repetitive routine works best for me: wake up, eat, get dressed, leave. Simple and effective.

What’s your go-to coffee order?
An iced long black — but with coconut water and honey. Yum.

What’s your favourite part of working at the café?
We’re so lucky to have amazing regulars. I get to share in their lives, birthdays, weddings, relationships, children, loss, promotions, and even moments when they need support. It’s a weird extended family, but they make the café so much better.

Can you share a memorable interaction you’ve had with a customer?
There are honestly too many to choose from, but anytime I get to see all our regular dogs, that’s pretty special.

Do you have any tips for perfecting latte art?
Don’t be afraid to move the jug around and learn what works for you. Other techniques might not suit your style. Rinse and repeat - you’ve got this!

What’s your favourite blend or origin, and why?
I love anything chocolatey and sweet, usually a blend. Coffee is so vast, it’s just too hard to choose one favourite.

What’s a fun fact most people don’t know about you?
I’m a simple girl, I love the outdoors, plants, good food, and creating. When I’m not working, I’m usually adventuring, building, crocheting, painting, or embroidering. It really makes me happy.
