El Salvador Gesha
Farm owners Emilio Lopez and Jose Roberto Santamaria and run an operation made up of six farms in El Salvador. This delicious Gesha is derived from a plot on Finca La Cubre, situated on the highest-altitude on the larger farm, Finca El Manzano. Founded in 1872 this farm has been in the Lopez’s family for generations.
Kenya Riakiberu pb
The Riakiberu Coffee Factory services a community of 1500 members, each member with the right to harvest small parcels of land with their own coffee trees. Cherries from all members are bought in to the cooperative where they are processed together and sold as one whole lot.
The rich and flavorsome characteristics is a combination of the infusion of all the minerals and organic goodness present in this medium altitude, regular rains, moderate temperatures and rich volcanic soil, boosting the high acidity and fruity characteristics of Kenyan coffees.
This coffee showcases a sweet but bright acidity reminiscent of oranges, treacle and blackcurrants encase, with long and round finish.
Colombia Los Trapiches
The Trapiche, where the name of this brand comes from, is the mill where the sugar cane is processed to extract the juice that is later heated in high temperatures to finally produce the bricks of panela. This area is also It’s a semi mountainous area with a richness in water sources making the retention of humidity in the soil good for areas with high elevation, optimal for agriculture, and perfect for the production of exceptional coffees like this one.
Los Trapiches is made up of 20 coffee growers that are new to the world of high quality coffee with an eagerness to learn and go into the specialty market. They are highly motivated producers with an immense potential regarding quality. They’re currently implementing changes at their farms in terms of management, pre-harvest, harvest and post-harvest practices.
