Let’s Celebrate International Coffee Day!

Let’s celebrate International Coffee Day!

International Coffee Day is on Sunday 1st October 2023, and it’s about celebrating coffees from around the world while honouring the farmers, roasters and baristas responsible for creating the coffees that we get to enjoy.
It’s a great day to appreciate your morning brew, whether at your local café or discover a new way to make a great coffee at home.

Here are some tips from our Paradox Coffee Roasters team on how you can enjoy the day!

1. Support your Local Café

Whether it’s a catch-up with friends or enjoying some ‘me’ time, visit your local café for Sunday brunch and your favourite coffee this International Coffee Day. Don’t forget to let the barista know how much you enjoy the coffee!

2. Master a New Brew Method & Share the Experience

We all enjoy a great espresso coffee but how about exploring a unique filter brew? It’s easy to appreciate the beautiful flavour and aroma of a filter coffee especially when brewing a single origin. Filter roast coffees can be brewed using a V60, Chemex, AeroPress or French Press, with each brew method providing a new way to enjoy a great single origin coffee. With our Paradox filter roast coffees, we provide a brew guide developed for each origin roast to help you with the right ratio of coffee to water, to brew the best cup of coffee. Impress your friends and invite them over to share in a delicious filter coffee experience.

3. Expand your Coffee Knowledge

Every single origin coffee is unique and has a story. Its characteristics are influenced from the region where it is grown, how it is grown and the way the coffee is processed. The journey that single origin coffees take from farm to cup is remarkable and appreciation for the farms and people behind the process is only enhanced when learning about the skill, innovation and passion that goes into making the best quality coffee. It’s that same passion that our Paradox roasting team have when creating the roast profile of the single origin coffees that we feature each month. We also love sharing the stories of the farms from which we source, so you can appreciate and learn more about the coffees that you get to enjoy.

4. Host Your Own Coffee Tasting Event

Coffee tasting isn’t reserved only for the experts. It’s a wonderful sensory experience that can enjoyed by everyone! Visit the Paradox online store to order this month’s single origin coffees that include our Kenya Mara AA, a perfect high-end coffee with notes of green apple, candied lemon and blackberry or explore our Rwanda Kawanziza with a taste profile of yellow peach, plum and grilled pineapple. Gather your friends and enjoy the experience of brewing and tasting each coffee. Compare the attributes of each coffee by describing the aroma, acidity, body and flavour. You’ll soon be analysing the coffee attributes like a pro. Have fun guessing the tasting notes and enjoy the opportunity to connect with friends, learn something new and tune your coffee palette.
