Brumas del Zurqui, located in Costa Rica’s Central Valley, is a micromill managed by fourth-generation coffee farmer Juan Ramon Alvarado Rodrigues, producing small lots with the highest level of traceability. The cherries are handpicked and naturally processed on African drying beds for 10-15 days, allowing the fruit to develop its vibrant, tropical character. This coffee offers bright notes of blueberries, passionfruit, and honeysuckle, with a sweet, tropical finish that lingers on the palate. Juan is committed to his craft and takes great pride in the positive impact his farm has on the community. He believes that the passion and values cultivated on the farm should resonate through the entire journey, from seed to cup, leaving an indelible mark on all who encounter it.
